Weber Costello World Globe 1921 w/ Stand 12″ Desk Decor. This reproduction Weber Costello world globe is very skillfully made. It measures overall 7.0″ inches in width x 12.0″ inches tall. This Weber Costello 1921 Globe is made of copperplate printed gores (specially shaped map sections) modeled after the actual 16th Century orginal cartographers globe. The gores are cut and applied by hand on papier-mache globe spheres. The globe is meticulously handcrafted using the complicated ‘gravure’ printing process that results in the sharpest details, lines and symbols. The globe stand is made of wood with a chrome metal arm. The stand has a honey French finish.
