VINTAGE TOY ELECTRO CABLE EXPRESS TRAIN & BOX NORTH WESTERN NOMURA TOYS, JAPAN This listing is for a vintage toy Battery Operated train set that comes in its original box with colorfully illustrated cover that reads: ELECTRO TOY CABLE EXPRESS with patent numbers in upper right corner. Inside is the black steam engine that takes one D battery (NOT included) and has a stop go switch on top and litho on sides reads NORTH WESTERN with C-62 on cab sides. When battery is inserted, the train runs fine. Also included is a matching tender marked NORTH WESTERN with front hook to engine and rear loop. ALSO included is an open hopper, orange marked P O 638102 with front hook. When train is assembled, it measures 15” long with the 3 cars. Also included in the box is PIECES of the original rubber cable which has dried up and broke into pieces. I’m leaving it in the box so you can match up the size for new soft cable that will fit in the guide rail below the front section of the engine. Some small areas have some of the green rubber adhered in spots. There is a diagram on the inside of the lid for directions. The box measures approx. 9” BY 6” BY 2-3/8”. When packed SECURELY for shipping the weight is 1 pound 12 ounces. Please pay close attention to photos for best description of condition, thank you.
