This is the all metal original series body, the later ones were made in China with plastic top and bottom, stay away from them, they had problems with the prisms and meters, beware!)The item being pre-owned is in great shape. The only imperfection that we could find is near the right side of the Pentax name. Keep in mind that it was manufactured in early 80’s The prism is in good shape and has no fungus nor DE silvering. The battery compartment is clean with new battery installed.The shutter/advance mechanism works flawlessly. All shutter speeds are accurate. Fully adjusted to factory specs. The frame counter works and resets when the film door is open. The mirror bumper is perfect and in good condition. The light meter is very precise and responds rapidly to light.Leatherette coverings are complete.The viewfinder is clear and clean.The lens is the original Asahi Optical SMC Pentax M 50mm f 2.0. No visible fungus and it looks clean. Due to age it may have few tiny specs of internal dust not affecting the pictures.Focusing is excellent.The diaphragm has clean blades and no residues.The original lens cap lens cap is included.Minor Scuff marks are present on the top and lower plates.Also included, the original perfect instruction manual and a Brand New 1″ Neoprene strap ( not installed) Let us know if you prefer to have the strap attached to camera and we will gladly comply.
