For your consideration, Dr4 Watches has on offer a rare Panerai Luminor Marina, reference # PAM00219, fine timepiece. This is one cool modern military timepiece that just “looks the business” on the wrist. And this one sports a “destro” or left crown set-up which makes it immediately more interest and collectible than many other Panerai models. The “destro” is designed to allow for a left-handed person to wear the watch on the right hand in a manner similar to how most people (right handed) where their watches on the left hand. However, I actually find it is great to wear it on my left hand as the crown is opposite the hand side and does not impact with the bending of the wrist for me.Of course we are bringing the best value on the internet because we tirelessly source our inventory and inspect very closely upon receipt for quality and authenticity. We are extremely thorough in our listings and we still absolutely encourage questions regarding the timepieces. If you have questions regarding the specifications, provenance, history, etc., no problem. Just ask if you have a question! We only deal in 100% real watches because reputation is critical for us and in this industry in particular. We always have the inventory in our possession. We do not do the broker thing. The condition of this watch is as follows: Pre-owned in very god condition. I would rate this cool timepiece at 95% and the two extra straps are 95% and 99% both being worn infrequently by me. Panerai needs no introduction but if you are not familiar with their timekeeping history definitely read-up on it as it is fascinating. The short version is: Pre-WW2, WW2 instrument manufacturer, legitimate frogmen applications, distinctive Italian style with both the Luminor and Radiomir models as the best known. Quietly cranked along post WW2 only to be resurrected by none other than Sylvester Stalone. Became a hit brand in the 1990s with Hollywood elite action heroes and lady killers, ultimately resurrected by LVMH and has thrived happily ever after. Because we only want timepiece customers who are delighted with their purchase, we strive to add some additional insight to help you make a great timepiece decision. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch include: 1. This watch is large at 44mm and works well on medium to large wrists. It brings a modern oversized look and I can recommend this watch for somebody with a wrist size of 6+3/4 inches in circumference and larger. I have an average size wrist and this watch works well on my wrist. It gets worn about 1 time a month, typically at night when it is cooler. It is currently seated on that cool canvas strap where I suspect it will stay for the next few months. Note that the Panerai rubber strap on the deployant clasp will fit up to a 7+1/4 inch wrist (it is a smaller rubber strap) while the canvas strap will fit up to an 8 inch wrist. Both work for me on my 7+1/8 inch to 7+1/4 inch wrist but I find myself prefering the canvas strap.2. This is peculiar watch that makes a retro military kind of statement. Rock this to your next Zoom call or to your tech business and you evoke the military tough guys from WW1… due to the iconic Luminor case… but still with a touch of luxury that a nicely lightly repolished case and black dial brings to the table. This particular stainless reference puts a premium on readibility, durability and versatility while throwing off a true rebel vibe with the destro left case side crown & crown guard set-up. This one also rocks lots of lume and is great for when one shifts from light to dark situations (e.g., overnight flights or trains, keeping a nice glow on the night stand, etc.). 3. The rubber strap and the canvas strap are both cool and give you two looks for this premium timepiece. Think of the rubber strap as the play for when around or in water. The canvas strap just looks cool and is best for activities away from water. It is nearly new but has an intentional weathered and frayed look that just pairs beautifully with the military design ethos of this Panerai Luminor. 4. Highlights on this one include the simplicity and strong execution of the dial and the nice polished stainless steel case finishing. The dial and arabic numeral indices steal the show visually. 5. The watch also features the iconic Panerai Luminor half-moon trigger guard which acts as a protective barrier to the crown. Worked well for 1940’s Italian military frogman and works exceedingly well even now. The design has been tweaked over the past 80 years but the basic engineering premise still shines through in this reference. 6. Still, the star of the show from a timing perspective is the easy to read standard hour and minutes. This is the raison d’etre for the Panerai Luminor. Addition by subtraction. Make time-reading clear, bold and effective with minimal of distractions. As a dude who is well into his 50s, I appreciate easy to read timepieces in dawn, day, dusk or night conditions. 7. An exhibition caseback is somewhat suprising and kind of rare on a Panerai timepiece. All of this aids in collectibility and of course allows you to view the nice mechanical movement. 30 meter (roughly 300ft) water resistance is wonderful and again rare for an exhibition caseback watch. As such, the specs on this one are impressive. 8. One final cool point is that this is a manual wind mechanical timepiece. Simplicity personified. As such, you will need to… and hopefully enjoy… giving this one a wind daily. 25 half-turns a day and it should power you nicely all the way to the wee morning hours. It should take you about 20 seconds to do this and if you are like me then you enjoy this ritual and daily interaction. 9. Rounding our the listing and the package is a nice Panerai travel case and a crown/case protector as shown. You also get both of the straps shown of course. These are all included as you see in the “everything picture” which is typically the 2nd picture. We do not offer a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs via advice on where to go and what to do (with no profit for us but paid for by you). Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation. The only exceptions are the black case that we photoraph on and the English Bull Dog which we put in our group shots because we think it looks great.
