Boil a pot of water, once boiling use a plastic/nylon serving spoon to hold the stem and submerge for 90 seconds, remove from boiling water and using your fingers/hands bend to desired effect (should be cool enough to handle almost immediately) then immediately submerge in bowl of cool water or under cold tap to solidify. There you have it! A newly bent stem! If attempting this on Ebonite/Vulcanite it will work but may cause a haze to form on stem that may need to be scrubbed or sanded clean (a little more work involved here.
