This is a very primitive early painted antique tote box with great black paint and fruit and flower designs on the sides and top and ends. Please study all the pics for a much better description than I could ever write here. I used it in my olde farmhouse potting shed to keep antique garden tools in for many years. It’s just the right size for that. It’s also fantastic for displaying holiday greens and berries and other drieds in your colonial home. It measures about 15 inches long and is about 9 inches wide. It is about 15 inches tall counting the handle that is attached with pegs. The sides are dovetailed. As you can see it’s worn and weathered overall from original natural aging over many years of time and use as it should be so it’s not an apology. The top is loose and sets in place but originally was meant to slide. It is MUCH better in person than the pics show too. I found it in Brimfield a very long time ago and I’ve enjoyed it for many gardening seasons and I bet you will too.
