Excellent 1960s lightly used Cavanagh REAL Milan Straw Fedora – Grayish size 7-1/8 and 1 Newer 1970s-1980s Straw Adam Hats Yellow Straw Fedora. These are perfect everyday fedoras. Both are PERFECT size 7-1/8, read below.It is perfectly shaped! It’s a real looker! This hat was worn but not many times and then stored away. If you look closely at the leather sweatband on the Cavanagh Fedora you can see there is no wear at all on it! Even the Reed is Excellent, The Reed is the part of the leather sweatband that get attached to the hat and that where you would see wear if it was worn more than a few times. Dad and grandson needed to do very little work on this one, just a bit of cleaning.Looking at picture #18 you can see where the end of the straw is. It is NOT BROKEN OR IS THIS A DEFECT! This is just how GREAT HATS USED TO BE MANUFACTURED!If you are a fan of Turner Classic Movie Channel you’d see these fedora worn in many many movies! This hat would be worn as everyday fedoras when men did not leave their home without a hat on! You can see that this is a very late 1950s through 1960s Cavanagh Fedora because of that “Button” type hat liner. You can see that this Fedora still has everything as far as shaping when it was purchased, this still has that “BUMP” on the top center of the crown. This currently has a Teardrop Crown shape.The 1970-1980s Adam Yellowish Straw Fedora is more of a classic type fedora and the brim can be flipped up or down. This Canavanagh is a grayish color and the Adam is a yellowish color as seen in the picture of the whole underside is the best representation of the color. Not sure why we can’t get the color to always come out consistently? Anybody out there has any suggestions?The Cavanagh Fedora is REAL ITALIAN MILAN STRAW? One of Dads hat collectors has helped identify this. This is NOT a that synthetic straw or “paper material” that we have seen nowadays! The straw is not broken or cracked anywhere on either fedora.When we pack these they will NOT be CRUSHED ONTOP of each other! That just ruins the Grosgrain ribbon and leather sweatband! There will be something that will gently space the apart so that WILL NOT HAPPEN!The brim on the Cavanagh cannot be flipped into the up position. It could be steamed into the up position, Dad says but we like it as it is now. The Adam Straw hat is just that. The brim can be flipped down and we added a picture showing that.Just a pair great classic fedoras.If you have any questions please write DetailsThere are no size tag that but these both measures to a perfect size 7-1/8 (see last pictures) but we actually measure each hat 3 times to verify its true size. This is a perfect size 7-1/8 measures 22-3/8 inches.
