Here is a terrific item from a nice batch of cinderella stamps that I’ve now got up on eBay!This is RARE version of BC11, the red, white, and blue “running buffalo” souvenir stamp issued to promote the 1901 Pan American Exposition. It is Mint with original unhinged gum and a straight edge. What makes this so interesting is the bleed that has come through to the back of the stamp; the image on the front is set off on the back, underneath the gum! It is definitely a cool, collectible variety! By the way, the stamp identifying number (BC11) used in this description is from the new book called Buffalo Cinderellas. This terrific publication, which won an American Philatelic Society 2018 gold medal award, contains the fascinating stories of the two men who are most associated with the awesome souvenir stamps issued for the 1901 Pan American Exposition.
