Arriving on this very base in the 7th Inning with his Triple, Acuna made history becoming the second player in Braves postseason history to record a “series” cycle (Hank Gowdy, 1914 World Series) and first since George Burns (1921 World Series) to have two singles, one double and a triple in a playoff game. AND – Yadier Molina’s only career Postseason Walk Off RBI. Facing elimination, saving the Cardinals season twice: first, with his 8th Inning Game Tying RBI Single scoring Goldschmidt; then, after Kolten Wong’s leadoff double in the 10th and Ozuna’s groundout to advance Wong to third, Yadi’s Sac Fly would score Wong from third for the victory, forcing game 5 in Atlanta, which would establish for Molina a new National League Record for Postseason Games played, which he would continue to add to, concluding his career with a hit in the bottom of the ninth with two outs to extend the game, season and his career one more batter, in Game Two of the 2022 NLWC vs Philly.
